Kanako Koyama Hitchcock is known as a dedicated piano teacher with nearly 20 years of experience. She has raised gifted students, who regularly appear in public concerts, auditions, and competitions. Her goals are to help our students to establish a strong foundation, grow interest, build motivation, reach their won goals, and most importantly, learn how to enjoy music. A lot of her students appreciate music and continue playing music in their life.

Kanako’s highlighted performance included at the Weill Recital Hall in New York, Steinway Hall New York, and Liszt Museum Weimar. “Given the depth of insight in her interpretation and the richness, color and expression that she commands, Kanako is highly acclaimed for her artistry,” as evidenced by numerous International awards and scholarships that have been bestowed upon her. She made her New York debut recital as a recipient of Special Presentation Award from Artist International in 2009. Kanako received her BM & MM degrees in piano performance from Manhattan School of Music, and received MM in harpsichord performance from Yale School of Music.
