Kanako Koyama

works as a pianist, harpsichordist, teacher, and coordinator of Early Music Concert Series. Her highlighted performances included at the the Weill Recital Hall in New York, Steinway Hall New York, Steinway Salon Tokyo, Liszt Museum Weimar, etc. “Given the depth of insight in her interpretation and the richness, color and expression that she commands, Kanako is highly acclaimed for her artistry,” as evidenced by numerous International. awards and scholarships that have been bestowed upon her. She made her New York debut recital as a recipient of Special Presentation Award from Artist International in 2009.

Kanako Koyama is also known as dedicated teacher with nearly 20 years of experience. She has raised a lot of gifted students, who regularly appear public concerts, auditions, and competitions. Besides performance practice, she has experience in teaching fundamental music theory, history, and ear-training. As an active member of Steinway Educational Partner and Music Teachers National Association, she continues to expand her teaching career in New York and Philadelphia Areas. She is awarded for “Excellence in Music Teaching” (2015-2022) from CFNY. Kanako holds Bachelor’s of Music and Master’s of Music degrees from Manhattan School of Music and Master’s of Music from Yale School of Music.
